In our investigation, at this time, vegan certification is done by non-regulated organizations who take payment from companies in exchange for their own certification, which may or may not include a visit from the organization or any kind of verification that the product indeed is vegan.

Essentially, any company who wants to promote their product as a certified vegan can obtain what appears to be an official-looking badge of certification to enhance their marketing.

The reality is that the ingredients list should confirm whether or not the product is vegan. If an ingredient is known to be sourced from plants or animals, any transparent company will be able to provide clarification which source it is from.

That said, we can confirm with you that this product contains no ingredients that are sourced from animals, and is vegan.

Hi, Casey. Most moisturizers that promote anti-aging benefits are considered comedogenic, as they are designed to retain moisture and are not meant for blemish prone skin. Though our Vitamin C Infusion face moisturizer includes Isopropyl Palmitate (Sustainable Palm Oil) which generally is considered comedogenic, especially if not diluted, our formula is blended in a way to minimize the risk of breakouts.

We haven’t received reports of breakouts from customers using this product; however, if your skin is highly prone to acne, or if your skin type is oily, you may want to do a small patch test on your neck to see how your skin responds. In general it something to keep in mind any time that you are trying a new product, as it gives a good idea of how the more delicate skin on the face will respond to a product.
